About us

Dr. Shirazi started his journey to aid his community by earning his DDS degree in May of 2000 from Howard University College of Dentistry, in Washington D.C., after growing up in Woodland Hills, CA.  As soon as he graduated, he continued his studies in Oriental Medicine, earning a Masters degree from Samra University.  He is a California State Board Licensed Dentist and Acupuncturist. In 2007 he received the prestigious Fellowship Award from the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, an organization dedicated in the diagnosis and treatment of Craniofacial pain and Sleep Breathing Disorders.  He has completed over 1000 hours of continuing education in TMD and facial pain, craniomandibular orthopedics, and sleep disordered breathing, and lectures on those very subjects himself throughout The United States.  He has also completed hospital mini-residencies in oriental medicine at the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center (CBIATC), and another at Kyung Hee University and Medical Center, in Seoul, Korea, both in 2005. He has recently completed a Master of Arts degree in Spiritual Psychology, and he is the founder of the Bite, Breathe and Balance study group.

When not treating patients or traveling to give and receive lectures, Dr. Shirazi enjoys camping, photography, hiking and biking.

Along with all of us at the TMJ and Sleep Therapy Centre, I welcome you and your loved ones to our practice. We put our emphasis on making an accurate diagnosis thats custom tailored for each patient, which may involve treatment, a referral to another healthcare provider, or no treatment at all.  We use the most state of the art equipment available, and our treatment yields the best results I have found, without the need for long term medication or surgery.
