David L. Nutter, DDS

David L. Nutter brings extensive experience and expertise in dentistry to Distinctive Dental Care & Dental Sleep Medicine, along with a strong commitment to supporting advancements in this quickly changing field. In fact, Dr. Dave was one of the first dentists serving Oregon and Washington to use laser dentistry, as well as work with local oral surgeons to restore dental implants.

Well-Educated, Highly Innovative Dentistry

Dr. Dave earned his dental degree from the world-renowned Loma Linda University in Southern California. His course of study included advanced pre-graduate training in Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. While building his highly respected dental business in Vancouver, Dr. Dave has consistently been a step ahead in embracing best practices and cutting-edge technology. He is known in the community for his pain-free approach, exquisitely artistic restorative work, and successful treatment of dental phobias. Furthermore, he leads his practice with integrity, excellence, and in partnership with patients to create individual treatment plans designed to meet their specific needs.

Dr. Dave is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Dental Association and Clark County Dental Society. As a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, he is currently collaborating with physicians and sleep labs in Oregon and Washington to develop preventative measures for treating sleep apnea and snoring.

Personal Life, at Home and Outdoors

Personally, family is very important to Dr. Dave. He and his wife are blessed with wonderful children and extended family. Dr. Dave also enjoys contributing time to his local church community and avidly participates in many outdoor sports unique to the Northwest. For years, he has enjoyed the unusual sport of hiking and paragliding from Northwest mountain sites. Dr. Dave has an advanced pilot rating from the U.S. Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association and served as president of the Cascade Paragliding Club.

Daniel E. Wilson, DMD

Daniel E. Wilson has a passion for providing exceptional, evidence-based care for Distinctive Dental Care & Dental Sleep Medicine while conscientiously catering to each patient's unique needs and desires. Dr. Dan not only cares about his patients' dental health, but their overall health as well. This concern has led him to screen and treat patients with obstructive sleep disorders in collaboration with the medical communities of Washington, Oregon, and beyond. Dr. Dan provides laser dentistry and oral appliance therapy for sleep apnea and snoring. He holistically uses dental appliances such as sleep apnea mouthguards as an alternative to homeopathic remedy and surgical treatment techniques.

Higher Education, Enabling Advanced Dental Care

Dr. Dan has a notably strong educational background, including serving as a clinical instructor with the Department of Operative Dentistry at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) School of Dentistry. Prior to his postgraduate training in general practice residency at the Veteran's Affairs Dental Center in Portland, Dr. Dan graduated with honors from the OHSU School of Dentistry and Cum Laude from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Combined Sciences. During his coursework, he notably earned induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society at OHSU based on clinical performance and potential, didactic performance, and ethical conduct; Honors in Operative Dentistry at OHSU; the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award at OHSU; and was the founder of the Pre-Dental Society at Santa Clara.

Dr. Dan is with a number of esteemed professional associations, including the American Dental Association and Washington State Dental Association (WSDA). He currently serves as the WSDA Clark County Dental Society Secretary, on the WSDA Peer Review Committee for Clark County, and as a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Personal Life, from Family Time to Community Involvement

When Dr. Dan is not at the office or busy promoting the field of Dental Sleep Medicine to the public and medical and dental communities inside and outside of Oregon and Washington, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also likes to golf and play other sports and participate in his church community.
