Dr. Andrew Thompson was educated in England, Scotland and Canada. Dr. Thompson practiced general dentistry for 5 years in Halifax, has taught at Dalhousie University and practiced orthodontics as a specialist for over 30 years.

Dr. Andrew Thompson listens to the concerns of his patients. He takes the time to understand the needs of each client, while helping ensure they make the best decision for their dental health. Dr. Thompson is happy to provide in-depth information on any suggested procedures.

With over 30 years of dental experience, Dr. Andrew Thompson has the hands-on expertise that lets you know you are in the right hands. He is a leader in Atlantic Canada for orthodontic procedures and has devoted over 25 years to being involved with lectures and teaching both at the universities and international associations involved with orthodontics, TMJ and/or OSA.
Flexible Payment Options
Dr. Thompson offers direct billing to insurance companies, and offers payment plans and financing. Payments can be made with all major forms of electronic transaction, credit card, or post-dated cheque. Electronic fee pre-determination is available for rapid communication with insurance companies.
Dr. Thompson offers written and verbal fee quotes for all treatments, so you are clear of any costs before incurring them. Dr. Thompson bases all fees on the Nova Scotia Dental Association fee guide.
Continuous Improvement
Dr. Thompson is a university trained dental specialist and delivers and attends (with his staff) over 80 hours of continuing education per year. He has devoted over 25 years to being involved with lectures and teaching both at the university level and nationally/internationally to private associations and organizations involved with orthodontics, TMJ and/or OSA.
Every 7-10 years, Dr. Thompson undergoes a peer-reviewed examination/update by exam to ensure a higher level of delivery of orthodontic health care.
