About us
Dr. Derek Grundy is a general dentist who is committed to providing comfortable dental care. He has been caring for patients in his Hanover office for over 25 years. His passions are dental implant surgery & cosmetic dentistry. By incorporating oral sedation into the practice, Dr. Grundy has been able to help hundreds of adults who have a fear of coming to the dentist or require extensive treatment. He was certified in IV sedation at the Medical College of Georgia & is providing this service in our Sedation Centre on the second floor of the Hanover office. IV sedation is especially useful for patients having wisdom teeth removed or dental implants placed, or for those who simply wish for a deeper level of sedation.
Dr. Sergio Weinberger, a board-certified orthodontist & pediatric dentist, is providing orthodontic consultations & treatment for children & teenagers in our Hanover office one Saturday per month. Invisalign® (clear braces) are available at both the Hanover & Lucknow offices.

Dr. Derek Grundy of Grundy Family Dental Care has extensive experience working with both adults & children. We understand that these two groups have different needs & we address them all, providing only the highest-quality regular dental hygiene visits, sealants, mouthguards & patient/parent education. We place a high emphasis on sealants, which at less than half the cost of conventional fillings are effective in preventing tooth decay on the biting surfaces of chewing teeth. With no anesthetics or drilling, sealants are one of the simplest & most important preventive services we have. We also offer our patients the option of using tooth-coloured fillings & our in-office digital x-rays are more convenient than ever before. For example, crowns can be used to replace the top part of a tooth when it has become irreparably damaged but the root is still healthy. On occasions, cavities can become too large for an ordinary filling, so we will suggest an alternative – a ceramic onlay or inlay.
