About us

Gary Glick, D.D.S., F.A.G.D. Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Glick received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry. Temple Dental was one of the top three dental schools in the country. He served in the United States Navy for two years supplying dental services to the Navy and Marines. His professional work history includes a year at a denture center where he had the opportunity to make thousands of full and partial dentures. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and has earned the designation of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, also known as F.A.G.D. Of the approximately 160,000 dentists in the country there are only about 11,000 F.A.G.D. and M.A.G.D. recipients.

Dr. Glick has practiced comprehensive dentistry for many years. He has performed thousands of root canals, bridges, crowns (caps), restorations (both tooth colored and silver), inlays, extractions, full dentures and partial dentures. He restores implants, creates beautiful veneers (laminates), Metal-free crowns (porcelain jacket) and other types of restorations. The word comprehensive is taken seriously. At the initial exam and each recall exam the patient is given a screening exam for TMD (TMJ) (jaw joint problems), oral cancer and periodontal disease. If there is a problem, he finds it early for easier treatment.

Dr. Glick has created a new technique to fabricate temporary dental bridges with greater accuracy, less time in the chair and less visits for the comfort of his patients. Dr. Glick has shared this technique with his collegues by allowing a national dental journal to publish this new method (New: Accurate, Fast Temporaries, Issue 2, May 5, 2000: INTREGRAL DENTISTRY). Dr. Glick's new technique utilizes a tasteless and odorless impression material that is an offshoot of the space program. He has been successfully doing one visit root canals for over twenty years. He has also developed a highly successful technique that allows extremely fearful patients to have COMFORTABLE dental treatment. Dr. Glick heavily participates in dental continuing education. These courses have included: laser training, implant restoration, laser bleaching (tooth whitening), veneers and many other areas of discipline. The state mandates 40 hours of continuing education be taken every two years. Dr. Glick always exceeds the amount of continuing education as required by the state. He is dedicated to staying on the leading edge of dentistry. This continuing ed was received all over the country from hundreds of different institutions and talented professionals. These have included Dr. Larry Rosenthal, Dr. Harold Gelb, Dr. Jeff Golub-Evans, Dr. Omar Reed, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and many others.

What our patients say

Although going to the dentist is a distressing experience for me, the entire team at Dr. Glick's office is not only technically skilled; they are very empathetic and supportive with a nervous adult patient. Their willingness to work closely with my insurance company is also much appreciated. Generally, I feel everyone in the office is looking out for me.

I can do anything except go to the dentist. I am such a nervous dental patient that I've often avoided necessary care. Dr. Glick and his team have worked with me in the past to make me as comfortable and relaxed as possible with numbing agents, nitous oxide and oral medications. We've tried everything. Even so, I'm still so anxious that I dread having any kind of work done and I'm so tense and upset that I'm sure I don't make Dr. Glick's job any easier. So when I recently needed major dental work done, I didn't know how I was ever going to bring myself to go through with it. Dr. Glick's team researched Sedation Dentistry and were able to locate an anesthesiologist, Dr. Glen Atlas, MD, who has specific experience with dental office sedation and procedures. Dr. Glick's team coordinated the appointment arrangements with Dr. Atlas, going out of their way to make it easy for me to schedule the work.  Dr. Atlas contacted me several times before the appointment to prepare me, taking a medical history and answering all my questions. On the day of the procedure when I arrived at Dr. Glick's office, Dr. Atlas and Dr. Glick went out of their way to reassure me and put me at ease. Dr. Atlas explained what he was doing every step of the way as he set up the IV with the sedatives. A few minutes later I felt a little relaxed and the next thing I knew I woke up with my dental work done. Although I was in Dr. Glick's office for four hours, I wasn't upset or frightened and I have a great new smile. Dr. Glick does beautiful work and Dr. Atlas was wonderful.

Dr. Glick and his staff made me feel very comfortable throughout all the work I needed.

Dr Glick,
I just wanted to Thank You and your staff for making my experience of getting Dentures as painless as possible.

As I told you I have known this was coming for the last seven years but I was so afraid of what the teeth would look and feel like that I just kept putting it off.

I moved to Hewitt in November and started to see you Ad about Dentures and when I read it I thought, here is what I am looking for, someone who knows about Dentures and how to make them well. When I called for an appointment and walked into your office, you and your freat staff made me feel comfortable and that this could be done.

Well you did it for me and I could not be more pleased with how they look and feel. I spent a day with a friend I have known my whole life and shee never noticed anything different. I would say that speaks volumes to what a natural look you have given me.

Thank you all again and I would highly recommend this to anyone who has been afraid of the results. Trust me you will not be disappointed.
—Peggy S.
