About us
Born in Abilene, Texas I spent my elementary school years in the west Texas town of Snyder. That is why I sound a little country. My family moved to Fort Worth, Texas when I was in the sixth grade. Other than college at Baylor University in Waco, National Guard active duty in Fort Knox, Kentucky and Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, I’ve lived in Fort Worth ever since.
My wife of 37 years, Pat B., also a Baylor graduate, works in the office as a massage therapist, seeing patients who need relief from head and neck pain. She is trained in craniosacral techniques as well as many other modalities.
Pat and I have had the great joy to see our two children, Audrey and Southworth, grow up into extraordinary young adults. Audrey, a recruiting manager for Robert Half Associates, and her husband, Jason Kuester, a financial analyst, parent our two grandchildren, Hannah Rose and Henry Paul.
South married Mary Christina Cheek in 2011. They currently reside in Fort Worth. Mary is a commercial interior designer and South is a construction manager for Linbeck and implements virtual design throughout the company projects.
Pat and I attend Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth where we participate in a community group and Bible studies. We both read, study and attend workshops to continually learn more about natural healthcare and new technologies. I am always interested in speaking to groups in the community about dental awareness from the wholistic perspective.
My hobbies include exercise with kettle bells to stay fit and as often as possible run on the Trinity River trails that meander throughout Fort Worth. One of my favorite pastimes is watching Baylor Bear football from the home game sidelines as team dentist, and providing care for our athletes from various sports. I genuinely enjoy life!
Professionally, I am a member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Associations and I am active in the Fort Worth District Dental Society. I am a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow and board member of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management and I have been Board Certified as a Naturopathic Physician. I have over 3,500 credit hours of continuing education and continue to learn, teach, write articles and pursue innovative ways to address difficult cases with optimum esthetics.
