About us
Dr. Reichgott is a graduate of Florida State University, the Medical College of Virginia where he received his Doctoral of General Dentistry and Marquette University School of Dentistry where he received his specialty training in Prosthodontics.
Dr. Reichgott has furthered his training and understanding by completing a residency program specifically for the diagnosis and effective treatment of TMJ dysfunction. The treatment of TMJ dysfunction is closely related to prosthetic therapy in both focus on the correct orientation of the maxilla (upper jaw) and mandible (lower jaw) Dr. Reichgott has been treating TMJ dysfunction for almost 30 years with good but not predictable results. Due to the advancement of research and technology the diagnosis of TMJ dysfunction has become very predictable. This has resulted in positive predictable results. He has state of the art diagnostic equipment including T-Scan, Joint Vibration Analysis, Tomography and Pharagometer/Rhinometer. Since his approach is non-surgical, treatment modalities include iontophoresis, energex, ultra soud, cold laser, tens unit, trigger point injection therapy and the use of orthotics to orthopedically position the jaws in an ideal position. He has seen dramatic results in both pain alleviation as well as proper TMJ function.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Reichgott taught at both Marquette Dental School as well as the Medical College of Virginia before establishing his initial private practice in Bradenton, Florida. Dr. Reichgott and his wife moved to the Shenandoah Valley 15 years later because they wanted their two young daughters to grow up in the peacefulness of the Valley. Dr. Reichgott's doors have been open since 1994 in the Harrisonburg, Virginia area.
