Dr. Shields is skilled in interceptive orthodontics, another aspect of our preventative practice. For children ages 4 to 11, this treatment can often eliminate the need for extensive orthodontic treatment in the teen years.

Dramatic advances are constantly evolving in modern dentistry, and we are committed to providing you with the best service. Dr. Shields attends numerous seminars on innovations in dentistry, and has been on the forefront of putting improved treatments into practice.
At our office, WhisperJet or Laser technology can often remove tooth decay painlessly and without freezing or drills. Another field of particular interest to Dr. Shields is implant dentistry. New, narrow diameter implants now offer more affordable treatment options.
