Dr. Jeff Doneskey is a leading dental specialist in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, snoring, and TMJ disorders. He is also an industry leader in the development of oral appliance technology to manage these problems. His 20+ years of combined experience in oral medicine and general practice provides him with the unique ability to understand, diagnose and treat patients with even the most complicated interrelated disorders and develop solutions that address the primary issues of sleep apnea, snoring and associated TMJ related problems.
Dr. Doneskey is known for his personable manner, great sense of humor, and ability to quickly get to the heart of the problem. He works closely with his patients, and gives whatever time is needed to listen to their concerns, understand their problems and provide them with an accurate diagnosis of the issues. Once a comprehensive treatment plan is determined, patients with even the most complicated concerns find renewed life.
Dr. Jeff Doneskey received his DMD degree from the University of British Columbia School of Dentistry in 1987, after which he established his own dental practice focusing on comprehensive restorative dentistry and the treatment of TMJ disorders. He then went on to complete a two-year advanced education in Oral Medicine, earning a Certificate in Oral Medicine at the University of Washington School of Dentistry while concurrently completing an independent two-year fellowship in Oral Oncology at the prestigious Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
Dr. Jeff Doneskey is a certified specialist in Oral Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Oral Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Dental Consultants, American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association and the Seattle King County Dental Society. He continues to be involved in research and maintains active hospital privileges at both Overlake Hospital Medical Center and Evergreen Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Jeff Doneskey’s in-depth understanding of the relationship between sleep problems and TMJ disorders has resulted in the development of a revolutionary new FDA approved oral sleep appliance that effectively manages obstructive sleep apnea – providing a simple, comfortable nighttime solution for patients for whom CPAP therapy is not a preferred or a practical option. This oral appliance, called the SilentPartner™, is also used to stabilize clicking jaw joints and is currently available only through the Sleep Apnea and Facial Pain Center. The SilentPartner will be available nationally, through variety of service providers in the near future.
