Mark H. Melnick, DDS

About us  

Dr. Melnick has been serving the dental needs of the Hauppauge community since 1983.  A graduate of Bethpage High School in Nassau County, he received his Bachlor of Arts degree (Biology/Psychology) in 1979 from Washington University in St. Louis and his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1982 from the University of Illinois.  Committed to on-going continuing education, Dr. Melnick has completed hundreds of hours in advanced dental courses.

He is best known as a caring dentist who offers his patients the quality of treatment that he would want for his own family.  He prides himself on "being there for his patients" and as such provides emergency care for his patients as well as new patients who call his office

Due to his attention to advanced dental techniques he is able to provide the latest and most modern services available today.  He was one of the first dentists in the country to utilize a laser in his office.  He is "Category II Certified" in the use of the dental laser.

National Leadership Honorary, Lifetime Member *     Academy of General Dentistry, Member Dr. Melnick is very involved in service to the Hauppauge Community.  He served as a Trustee to the Hauppauge Board of Education from 1994 through 2003 including 3 years as its President.  He has coached soccer and baseball in the community leagues.  He is the "visiting Dentist" for many school classes.  There he discusses dental health with as many as several hundred children during each year.  He has also hosted many classes on field trips to the office.  He currently serves as a Director of the Hauppauge Educational Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that raises money each year to fund educational programs for the Hauppauge Schools.
