Service we offer
Services
All tests performed for the diagnosis of sleep disorders are in accordance with the parameters outlined in the American Academy of Sleep Medicine as well as Medicare guidelines.
Sleep Apnea Evaluation (Polysomnography)
A one night nocturnal polysomnogram (NPSG) allows visually aided computer analysis of each patient’s sleep period, by the accepted method of evaluating the EEG, EOG and EMG. In addition, the presence or absence of airflow at the nose and mouth is determined, respiratory belts monitor abdominal and thoracic respiratory efforts, continuous non-invasive evaluation of arterial blood oxygen saturation, recording of electro-cardiogram (ECG) to diagnose intermittent rhythm abnormalities, recording of body position for nocturnal breathing abnormalities, recording of continuous leg movements and several other parameters.
Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
The accepted diagnosis tool for assessment of excessive daytime sleepiness and for a definitive diagnosis of Narcolepsy.
Sleep Apnea Titration
A second nocturnal polysomnogram (NPSG) is performed with the aid of Continuous Positive Air Pressure machine to treat confirmed presence of apnea.
